Friday, December 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the Midwest Museum of Natural History compliments of the Sycamore Fire Department. Then we parade him and Mrs. Claus and elves through Downtown Sycamore to the traditional courthouse tree lighting ceremony at the Courthouse Lawn. Join us for a little Holiday Magic as we walk with santa, sponsored by The National Bank and Trust Company in Sycamore.

State Street Update Oct.15

Striping will be complete late this afternoon today (Friday).

Street print will be complete around 4:30. The cones will remain overnight to allow it to dry and will be picked up mid-morning tomorrow (Saturday).

All other barricades, horses and cones will be picked up late this afternoon.

State Street Update – October 12

State Street printing will continue into tomorrow and hopefully be complete by the end of the day. Followed by coat/color of the crosswalks. Striping is still planned for the end of the week. Almost complete.

State Street Update Oct 8

The street printing will start on Tuesday and will continue through Friday. Again, this should be isolated to only the area where the work is being completed. Public Works will still power wash the sidewalks Monday through Wednesday. This will be done from 3:00 AM to 11:00 AM so as to not interfere with shoppers. Striping of the new surface is tentatively scheduled to begin late next week or early the following week. Hang in there . . . we are almost done.

State Street Construction Update October 6

Thursday: Oct. 7 – they will prime one side of parking and driving lane at 9:00 AM +/- and then pave. Traffic will be one way with flagger directing traffic. Friday: Oct 8 – same thing on the other side, but they will start earlier than 9:00. Not sure which side (north or south) they would start on due to some manhole repairs. All pending weather conditions.
