Living Well With Pain Support Group

DEKALB – Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists and Braden Counseling Center has partnered together to create a new chronic pain support group in the DeKalb/Sycamore area. Living Well With Pain Support Group will meet on the first and third Mondays of each month from 5:00 – 6:00 pm at Braden Counseling Center, 2600 DeKalb Avenue, Suite J, in Sycamore (in the building with H&R Block across from Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital). This free support group led by Masters Level Therapist Nicole Bowker and Board Certified Physical Therapist Kristin Christian is designed for anyone seeking support with any type of chronic illness or pain. Attend for the opportunity to learn from others, share your experiences (or just listen to other’s experiences), and learn new coping strategies in an informal setting.

The first meeting will be on Monday, December 4 at 5:00 pm, and the group will continue to meet every first and third Monday of each month. Northern Rehab’s Physical Therapist, Kristin Christian, will be the moderator at the first meeting. Everyone is welcome at this open forum support group and there is no charge to attend.

For additional information about this support group, please call Braden Counseling Center at 815.787.9000 or visit their website at where you can e-mail or chat with them. For more information on Northern Rehab please visit their website at
